I want to start with a shout out about a coming workshop in Stockholm on September 8th: Lettering + Stamp Workshop! It is a collaboration between myself and illustrator and print maker Tian Gan, a phenomenal artist and crafter. We'll start the day with lettering: learn the basic letterforms and talk about details and decorations (some new lettering styles for those who have gone to my lettering workshops before, yay!). Then you'll get to create your own lettering design and transfer it into a stamp. Tian will give you guidance and teach us the best tips and tricks to carving your very own stamp.

A quick recap of what's been going on!
In June Lise Hellström of Ink&Lise (@inkandlise) and I were interviewed by TT Nyhetsbyrån. The story by Annika Hultman and photos of Sofie (by Sören Andersson) and Lise (by Nordstedts) were featured in newspapers in both Sweden and Finland. I was really happy with the article! Click on the picture to read the text and look closer at the pictures. In this particular article there were no pictures of Lise, but different newspapers used different photos.
Moomin Characters, Förlaget and Posca
On my birthday, on June 27th I got to do my first Lettering Workshop with Kids! Barnkalaset / Lastenjuhlat / Children's Banquet is organised by Förlaget and Moomin Characters at Stundars, an absolutely lovely venue in Ostrobothnia, Finland.
I was happy to team up with Posca Pens to give the children a colourful lettering experience and it was a great success! I am amazed by all the creativity and fearlessness a child holds when creating and drawing letters. It was a great day and I hope I'll be able to organise more workshops with kids!
I got my Posca pens for the workshop from Materialbutiken in Stockholm. It is great store with any craft material you might need!
Interview, lettering and workshops for Granit
I am super excited to be featured in Granit's second edition of their magazine Livet! So much love to Elna Nykänen Andersson for a super interview, Karin and the team at OTW for great art direction, Erika Gerdemark for absolutely phenomenal photos, Jessica at Granit for a warm welcoming into working together with the company. You all did a awesome job with the magazine!
With Livet magazine you get a lettering poster/template with the most basic letterforms to draw inspiration from when you draw your own letters and letterings! Use tracing paper or a baking sheet to practice and get your hand used to the letterforms, That way it will be easier when you want to put togheter words of your own! Get you Livet #2 at your nearest Granit store, if you haven't received it in your mail box already! (Be sure to become a member!)

Lettering on the Tube with Therése Lindgren
and Personlig Almanacka
One of Sweden's biggest influenscers and vloggers, Therése Lindgren wanted to try lettering so together with Personlig Almanacka we sat down, one day in June, and had a mini-workshop at the Personlig Almanacka headquarters in Storvreta, Uppsala.

Lettering - rita dekorativa bokstäver och ord
är en gedigen onlinekurs med 8 videoavsnitt på över 90 minuter, övningspapper, uppvärmningsövning och två utmaningar. Du kan jobba med kursen över en längre tid och arbeta med ett avsnitt i gången för att i lugn och ro lära dig eller utveckla din lettering. Du kan se hela kursen först och sen gå tillbaka till den stil du gärna vill lära dig eller så kan du ha en intensivkurs där du både ser och jobbar med kursinnehållet under ett par dagar. Du har tillgång till kursen ett helt år efter köp så du har gott om tid att se avsnitten fler gånger och öva då du vill! Det är en learning by doing-kurs så varje avsnitt ger dig riktlinjer hur du kan rita olika bokstavsstilar.
Du behöver ingen erfarenhet eller förkunskap för att ta kursen, det är en grundkurs där du får lära dig hur du börjar med lettering. Men även om du har erfarenhet eller jobbar med illustration och typografi hittar du inspiration och praktiska tips i denna workshop hur du kan fortsätta rita för hand och utveckla din lettering.
Att gå en onlinekurs är ett otroligt smidigt och lättillgänligt sätt att förkovra sig i något du är intresserad av, något som kan bli en hobby eller något som kan kan sporra din kreativitet och inspirera dig i ditt vardagliga eller professionella liv. During one year I did a newsmail series called Lettering - Tips & Trix where I shared inspiration, tutorials and information on lettering. Here you can find all Tips&Trix letters! The letters are written in Swedish but you'll get a lot of inspiration out of the pictures and videos even though Swedish is not your language! Hope you find something to work with!
Why not make the Easter holiday a creative one, draw something every day! Take on letter of tips and trix and draw! You do not need to work more than 10 minutes to keep the creativity going! I challenge and encourage you! ;)
