It's Melon Mania at the Moreland Farmers Market!
Fun facts about melons at our market:
* We have three farmers selling melons including Gathering Together Farms, Greens Bridge Gardens and Amica Farm!
* The market features more than 8 types of melon on market days in August and September.
* The flesh inside melons at the market are multicolored and include light yellow, peach, pink, green and bright red.
*The largest melons available can be up to 10 pounds and the smallest are 'handmelons' which are he size of tennis balls.

Two Honorable Mentions for BEST Presentation:
 
Our 4th annual pie bake off was a great success and raised more than $200 for our Power Of Produce Kids Club! Thanks to all who participated!
The Winning Pie was a masterpiece of perfect pie dough and plump seasonal blueberries. This phenomenal pie was created by our own honey vendor at Raw Oregon Honey! Second place also went to an exceptional blueberry pie made by our youngest contestant who is only 9 years old! Third place winner was also one of our own vendors, Mitzie, from Jacobsens Sea Salt! Mitzie won with a peach pie with salted caramel swirl!
