Upcoming Changes in the Board

The faces in the IFES Borad will change a bit starting 1 January 2019:

New IFES President will be Peter Theodorides from Greece. Until then he was Vice President Membership.
Voicu Sferdianu will become Past President.
John Pavek will become IFES Vice President Membership/Marketing.
Ninni Arion was elected as member of the extended Board. She will take care of the just established YIFES = Young IFES. Anybody who is interested to become part of YIFES is more than welcome. Please give a short note to uta(a)Ifesnet.org.
And we have to say bye-bye to Bruno Meissner who will leave the Board after beeing 4 years IFES President and additional 4 years IFES Past President.

During his four years presidency, Sferdianu wanted to achieve three major goals:
1. Financial stability;
2. Improved internal + external Communications
3. Professional Management
4. Next level of World Summits.
In his speach he thanked the audience for the trust he received four years ago and the possibility he was given to work on this aims.

Bruno Meissner honored with Roger Taurant Award

Bruno Meissner received the Roger Taurant Award in recognition of his efforts and results he has achieved over many years for IFES. He felt very honoured and grateful when the current President Voicu Sferdianu thanked him for the time he spend and the success he gained.

IFES CERTIFIED EXPERT - GET PREPARED FOR THE 2ND ROUND

IFES Certified Expert program will be continued.
The second episode of ICE will start in Frankfurt, 3 - 7 December, 2018.

ICE was invented for all project mangers who are responsible for international customers and projects. Attending this one week presence + 4 month online advanced training will raise their skills in cross-function exhibition management. It helps to succeed in a global exhibition industry!

Global Village@Exhibitor Live February 25 - 27, 2019

The IFES family in its own village

Unique in its form is the appearance of the IFES Global Village at major Trade Shows. If you want to exhibit with colleagues from around the Globe take the opportunity and become part of it. The IFES Sustainability Committee is committed to maintain positive strengths and develop a constructive program for our members. We aim to share amazing projects, clever solutions, best practices with our members and partners. Today we are coming back to you with a special request from the University of Pretoria.
The Event Greening Forum (EGF) is a non-profit organization in South Africa, dedicated to promoting sustainable event practices. As part of this objective, it has contracted a South African university (the University of Pretoria) to research the use, re-use and recycling practices of custom-built wood-based exhibition stands in South Africa and abroad.
Please participate in this research by completing a 5 minute survey. The more respondents there are, the more meaningful the findings will be. The study's report will be shared with all respondents.
