PR Boost Survey: Help Us Better Serve Colorado's Nonprofit Community

If you’re interested in volunteering your PR expertise with our community or are part of a nonprofit, this is your opportunity to give us some insight.

PR Boost is the chapter's long-established event focusing on the nonprofit sector. The board and committee members want to better understand the best approaches to serving our community together.

That’s why we’re asking for your help. Please take a few minutes and provide feedback to our
survey. Your input is invaluable to the chapter’s growth as an organization and participation in our community.

If you have questions about the
survey or PR Boost, please contact Francie Swidler.

Help Celebrate 60 Years of PRSA Colorado: Members Make it Possible

2018 marks PRSA Colorado’s 60th Anniversary! To commemorate the diamond jubilee, we’ve created a
Diamond Anniversary Time Capsule to showcase our history and reflect on our service to Colorado's PR and communications professionals.  Please email digital copies of photos, memorabilia, written memories, event programs, Gold Pick Award photos, Western District Conference highlights, etc.

And, to continue our legacy, we’re asking members to invest in the next 60 years by donating to the
$60 for 60 Fund. Your $60 donation will help PRSA Colorado provide better technology, more prominent event speakers and support the continued growth and development of our student chapters.

For more information about our Diamond Anniversary and our $60 for 60 Fund, contact President
Amy Sperber, APR.

PRSA Joins with Others to Support Press Freedom

“A free press is anything but an enemy of the public. In fact to say so is an affront to our Constitution.” Those words are from Jane Dvorak, APR, Fellow PRSA, in her recent blog post supporting press freedom. Jane is among the many communicators and professional organizations that have voiced support for ethical journalism and the essential role a free press plays to democracy.  Read the collaborative statement PRSA’s Chairman Anthony D’Angelo, APR, Fellow PRSA, wrote last week on behalf of the Society and in solidarity with other U.S and international communications organizations.

Guest Member Blog: Papa John's, An Ethical Dilemma for PR Firms

The much-publicized fallout last month of Papa John’s founder and former CEO focused on offensive language used during a media training session. But for PR pros, there are lessons to be learned regarding our obligations when confronted with unethical, potentially illegal or offensive behavior by our clients. Paul Raab, APR, managing director of Linhart PR, discusses how this debacle offers a “cautionary tale.”
