I hope you are doing well!

August was another beautiful and busy month for OM Argentina, from weekend conferences to another trip for the traveling team to Rosario.

Our team is in a time of transition, as Lucile from France, Casey and Nicole from the US and Tim from Northern Ireland left at the end of the month. There’s been a lot of logistics to work out, as we have also moved out of the guys’ apartment and closed our lease on it.

Despite all the endings and transition for our base, it is also a time a great anticipation. Christina from Germany arrived in Argentina on September 2, and hit the ground running—she was at a mobilization event the same afternoon!

TEAM BASE UPDATE:
We are getting closer to the purchase of the team house next door. The owner has offered to knock $20,000 off the remaining cost, if we can pay the rest in full. Currently the OM Argentina board and I, are working on seeing if we can get the rest of the remaining funds (40.000USD) by the end of the month. It is a challenge that continues to ask for great faith, but we serve an even greater God. I am already blown away by how He has provided, and cannot wait to see what He will do!

Last Saturday, August 25, we hosted the 1st Volunteer meeting at the OM Office. 15 people came from all over Buenos Aires and the suburbs, and since we were streaming it live on both Facebook and Instagram, even more joined us online. It was exciting for us to see how many people want to be involved in OM locally, helping with much needed tasks like translation, administration/logistical work, and even driving. By the end of the night, everyone had offered their time and gifts in at least 1 area, and several others had filled out an online form (from watching it live!) in other provinces. What an incredible blessing!

As spring is on its way (finally!), we look forward to a final quarter of the year spent in mobilization and preparation for the ship’s arrival next fall. Next week the first line-up team from the ship will come and begin the initial process. We are also training our newest team member, Christina, as well as continuing with our activities and ministry. There are so many moving pieces, and it is awesome to see how God is putting them all together for His glory. Thank you of being part of this with us! Thank you for praying, for giving sacrificially, and for joining us in the privilege of mobilizing Argentinians to reach the ends of the earth with the Gospel.
