Ditch your garden chemicals and synthetic fertilizers, you can help your garden take care of itself naturally! Forget about buying new plants each season, grow perennials, save your annual seeds, and propagate your plants from cuttings and grafts for an infinite abundance of your favorite plants to eat!

 

Topics covered include: soil building, worm farming, raised bed construction, compost tea brewing, sheet mulching, cultivating your soil food web, companion planting, Integrated Pest Management, medicinal and culinary understories, fruit tree grafting, perennial polycultures, and more!

 

Taught by Jerome Osentowski, herbalist Stephanie Syson, and arborist Vanessa Harmony onsite at the Central Rocky Mountain Permaculture Institute 32 year old forest garden on Basalt Mountain!

 

Tuition: $150 includes camping the night before the course, and a full day of fresh, organic, delicious meals!

With our 30 year experience in our five onsite low-energy use greenhouses, including tropical and Mediterranean, we can illuminate your dreams of eating berries, greens, and even bananas and citrus all winter long, whatever budget, space, energy, and time you have available.

 

Topics covered include: Near net-zero energy use greenhouse design and materials, greenhouse maintenance and management, climate battery technology, passive heating and cooling techniques, rainwater catchment, succession planning, integrating recreation, and more!
