Please do let me know of any restaurant, cafe, shop who should be acknowledged for their support of Wexford producers and I will contact them to get the process started. We send the list of Wexford Food Family members to the applicant and ask them to identify which of them they are currently dealing with. We then check with the producers that they are supplying the applicant.
Current supporters in the hospitality / food service sector (must stock a minimum of 6 members' products) are listed here and those in the retail sector (must stock a min. of 10 members' products) are listed here.
Visit Wexford has offered to list Official Supporters on their new website, which is a big help in acknowledging the efforts they make to support local producers.

The Wexford Food Family AGM will be held on Wednesday 7th November at 6.30pm in the Little Yard, Wexford Town.
We will have a review of our past year and plans for 2019 including workshops, events, market study trip and more. Your feedback and suggestions are very welcome.
The agenda will also cover our financial report and board member appointments.
This is your chance to let us know how the group can be of more benefit to you and have your say in our future.
If you are interested in joining the board, please let me know. Likewise if you would like to nominate someone else to the board, please complete the board nomination form here and email it to paula@wexfordfoodfamily.com. We will be appointing a new chair and vice chair at the meeting as Tom Sinnott moves to an ex-officio role after serving our group so well in recent years.
There will be light refreshments served on arrival - Wexford Tapas and a wee dram of Wexford Clever Man beer.

Rockin' Food Festival
This year's Rockin' Food Festival in Enniscorthy was a great success in terms of footfall and visitor experience.
Many members of the Wexford Food Family featured at food events, on menus and in demonstrations over the Rockin’ Food Festival, such as the famed Harvest Banquet in Enniscorthy Castle on Friday night plus a selection of our members gave talks and demonstrations in the food and kids marquees and we had, thanks to support from the Local Enterprise Office Wexford, our shared and staffed stand at the festival where members could display and sell their products.
You can get a flavour of the event by listening to this great podcast by Sharon Noonan of The Best Possible Taste featuring Bean and Goose, Jackford Spirits and Naturally Cordial.

Last year a group of Wexford Food Family producers exhibited at the Gifted Fair in the RDS with some help with funding from the Wexford Local Enterprise Office.
Feedback from participants was very positive and most are planning on going again this year.
The fair goes from 5th - 9th December from 10am to 10pm (Sat and Sun til 7pm only).

We are about to go to print on our 2018 / 2019 Eat Wexford Guide which has been successful for the last two years in promoting local food and drink in County Wexford.
This guide gives shoppers, diners and tourists a guide to what great foods are produced in County Wexford and where they can be bought or enjoyed.
It will be online and in hotels, restaurants, shops soon - look out for it.

Taghmon Action Group - Kitchen Facility

In June we went to check out the facilities available in Taghmon for food producers. They have a kitchen space and equipment suitable for start ups etc - call 053-9134997 or email taghmonaction@eircom.net for more information. They are very helpful and friendly.

Scallan's Food Service are hosting an event on Tuesday, September 18th in the Riverside Park Hotel Enniscorthy. Tables and table cloths are being provided by hotel and are 6’ long. If you have pull up banners, pop up signage or even a mobile booth you are welcome to use them.
Their event is to showcase Scallan’s Existing and New Product Range & Suppliers ……… All in the name of event ‘A Taste of Scallan’s. It will also give our suppliers an opportunity to promote their products, highlight new offerings and demonstrate serving suggestions.
