These unconventional remedies seem to work for us:

Sleep stories tame your "monkey-mind" and bore you into slumber.

Take zinc at the first sign of a cold, to cut the cold in half, and dab hydrogen peroxide on canker sores to cure them by morning.

Neat curfew hack:  

1.  On your phone, set an alarm for 15 minutes after your teen's curfew.
  
2.  Place your phone outside your bedroom door & go to sleep.

3.  Have your teen turn the alarm off when he/she gets home.

4.  If the alarm goes off, your teen's got some explaining to do.

5.  If the alarm doesn't go off, you've gotten sleep without the worry.
