Hi crew,
To give you an example of how NBC Kids are seeking to equip your kids to love and live for Jesus I thought I'd showcase one of our ministries: Kids' Arvo!
This is a ministry aimed at primary aged kids. It is loud, funny, crazy and Jesus centred. It is run by a team of leaders who engage with and mentor the kids beautifully. It has also been a great way for kids to invite non-Christian friends along, and for the church to engage with the community. If your little ones have never been, send them along. If they are regulars, encourage them to invite a friend. I've found its a great way for them to get involved in sharing the gospel and speaking out about their faith. Starting these practices of fellowship and inviting friends at a young age will provide them with a great understanding of what discipleship is all about.
We meet every Friday during school term from 4:30-6:00. Our evening runs like this:
- Food/craft/free play
- games
- Bible Talk
- discussion groups
- Memory verse song
- more games
This week we are having our once a term family BBQ. Kids come at 4:30 for the programme and then their families come for a free feed from 5:30. Its a great way to get to know other families and get involved.
