Fabulous Fall in the Studio!
Did you ever wonder how an artist prepares for fall?
It's business as usual: I'm in the studio breaking, making, and generally causing havoc :) But I do have a new hat, see it at one of my openings soon!

Art Lotto brings artists together in a new and different way. Each artist is paired with another to create a portrait, but the artists are not paired with each other. A partial view of my piece is below. Hope to see you at the big reveal!

Poem Corner

I get a lot of inspiration from poetry.  This poem is on my mind today:

The Root Cellar
Theodore Roethke

Nothing would sleep in that cellar, dank as a ditch,
Bulbs broke out of boxes hunting for chinks in the dark,
Shoots dangled and drooped,
Lolling obscenely from mildewed crates,
Hung down long yellow evil necks, like tropical snakes.
And what a congress of stinks!—
Roots ripe as old bait,
Pulpy stems, rank, silo-rich,
Leaf-mold, manure, lime, piled against slippery planks.
Nothing would give up life:
Even the dirt kept breathing a small breath.

I love this poem. Sometimes my studio is like a root cellar
