Dear <<First Name>>,

John’s Beekeeping Diary – Spring through the eyes of a beekeeper
Look around you as through the eyes of a beekeeper and you will see a profusion of flowers as spring awakens. The bees love it, and much more so if the days are sunny, warm and with little wind.
My month has been a real mix of tasks. Extra feeding of hives has continued and I have also been making up new beekeeping equipment. Janice, Michael and I have been running a basic beekeeping course on Monday nights. That will finish end of this month before we enter a busy October. In between time we are preparing honey for our weekly shop days.
It was always our dream years ago to produce honey from our own hives and sell it directly to the public. This continues to be a most satisfying part of our business and our lives.

Janice's Diary – The process of change
Over ten years ago John and I made plans to retire and sell our business. This was not to be. Part of the hurdle was that our customers couldn’t bear the thought of no honey from the Mosston Road Honey Shop.
So here we are still, with our shop opening for extra days much to the delight of our regulars. We are making good use of Facebook advertising each week with Michael’s expertise and are attracting many new customers. Have you seen our new big black and yellow roadside flag? We are much more visible to everyone now.
Another part of our changing scene is a new product range of locally made skin care products. The shampoo and conditioner bars are proving popular.
Finally, the Beeswax Wraps are proving a real hit. It’s keeping Janice and Hanna, our new shop assistant very busy keeping up with the demand.
Again, we do want to thank you, our loyal customers. We frequently hear your stories of how you have had to wait days or weeks sometimes before having your honeypots refilled.
Now, all you have got to remember is that our open days are every Wednesday and Thursday 9am-5pm.
Having said that we are needing to be:
Closed: Wednesday 19th September
Open: Thursday 20th September
