ICYMI: Minister of Labour, Laurie Scott, Announces Pause in Minimum Wage Increase 

Last year, Ontario’s hourly minimum wage increased from $11.60 to $14 an hour. Under Bill 148, minimum wage was set to further increase to $15 an hour on January 1st, 2019.

Minister Scott recently announced that the scheduled increase in January will not take place.

Bruce Eccles opened Eccles Auto Service in 1984. Starting with a small 2 bay shop with 3 employees, including his wife. Since then it has grown into 10 bays and 12 employees, including his son. Then moving into a service advisor role and now managing the majority of the business’s operations.
