I'm super excited to share the US cover for my next novel The True Queen, out in March 2019! There's a teaser image above, but you can see the full version at the Tor.com post below:

Magical Intrigue: Revealing The True Queen by Zen Cho

I really love this cover -- it's so whimsical and true to the spirit of the book. The art is by Kate Forrester and design is by Judith Lagerman.

As for the insides of the book, it's a standalone set in the world of Sorcerer to the Crown about a young woman from the island of Janda Baik who travels to England to save her sister and gets drawn into magical intrigue spanning the mortal and fairy worlds. You'll find out more about Janda Baik and Fairyland and the draconic realm of Threlfall, as well as an academy for female magicians established by a certain Sorceress Royal ...

I only finished substantive edits at the beginning of August, and it's always difficult to talk about a book when you've been so close to it. But it's a bit Shakespearean and a bit Ghibli-ish; it's about sisterhood and responsibility and identity and finding the courage to assert who you are and where you belong. And if you've read Sorcerer there will definitely be some familiar faces!

If that sounds interesting, you can preorder the book at the links below. (For UK readers and/or people who'd rather get the UK edition: there will be a UK edition! Cover reveal due soon -- I'll send out an email with UK and rest of world preorder links when that's up.)

Thanks so much for your support. This was a challenging book for me to write for various reasons, and the continuing support and enthusiasm of readers have meant the world to me.
