TRANSCRIPTS
All Seniors who are sending applications to schools have several options for sending their transcripts to their schools of choice. Transcripts are not acquired through Student Services. Option 1 is to use
parchment.com. Seniors have received information on how to acquire transcripts from the Guidance Office. Students will need to create an account and follow the prompts. Students will choose the school of their choice and pay for them through parchment.com.  Cost for the transcript is $4.00.

Option 2 is to utilize the Common App.  Not all colleges use the Common App, but if they do, students can create an account and send them to Mr. Dorn to complete. There are recommendations from Guidance and updates on course selections and GPA's. Mr. Dorn will download a transcript onto the Common App for the student and then the school or schools that use the Common App can access this information. There is no cost for this service.

BUSINESS OFFICE

TADS BILLING ACCOUNTS
Remember that Shoreland uses TADS for tuition and fees that are incurred throughout the school year. TADS will email invoice notifications and payment reminders before they withdraw funds from your bank/credit card account. When there is a new invoice posted to your account, TADS will send an email showing the Charge Details within the email itself (without having to log into your TADS account.)

If you do not have a bank account linked to your TADS account, you may do so by logging into your TADS account using the following link
https://secure.tads.com/Accounts/Login.aspx or by calling TADS at 800.477.8237.

If you do not have auto-pay set up, you are still responsible for the charges on your account by the due date listed in the TADS email.  You may send payment to Shoreland so that it arrives by the due date. Keep in mind that TADS will assess a $35 late fee if the invoice is not paid on time.

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES

NEW ROBOTICS PROGRAM AT SHORELAND
Beginning this year, Shoreland is offering students the opportunity to be a part of competitive robotics teams. We will compete in VRC (VEX Robotics Competitions). The program will include assignment to a team of 4-8 students, designated lab work nights to design and build a competition robot, and several competitions against other schools.

We are currently looking for people to serve as Program Mentors and Program Sponsors. Program Mentors would assist the coaches in supervising lab times (no prior robotics experience is necessary). Program Sponsors would consider helping to offset the program costs and the activity fee assessed to the students ($120).

If you have any interest in serving in one of these capacities, contact Mr. Mielke (
mielket@slhs.us).  If you are interested in learning more about this year's VEX Robotics Competition visit vexrobotics.com/competition, or for more general information about VEX Competitions visit roboticseducation.org.
