And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezekiah went up to the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord. 2 Kings 19:14
Dear <<First Name>>
Thank you for your prayers for my travel back to Ukraine and adjustments back into life and ministry here. My travels went smoothly and it has been wonderful to be reunited with friends and ministry partners here. The break of a year of home ministry provides a good opportunity for handing off of some ministry responsibilities and then taking on new ones upon my return. With Miriam’s upcoming departure from Ukraine, it is even more essential that I carefully evaluate where to invest my time and energies as I prepare for taking on the responsibility of the medical ministry. I read this passage from 2 Kings during my first days back in Ukraine and was reminded how important it is that I consistently spread all of these questions and decisions before the Lord and seek His guidance! Please pray that I will have wisdom and consistently seek God’s guidance as I serve in a different role in the pro-life ministry and prepare for my new role in the medical ministry.
After taking a few days to adjust to the time change and get settled back into my apartment, I have had the joy of getting back into the ministries here. It was wonderful to finally see the new center God has provided for us. The team here did a wonderful job with the design and it is ideally suited for our ministry. We are still working on getting all of the utilities and other details in order. It is a much more complicated process than I can even explain. Pray that God would give Luba wisdom and favor as she deals with the different offices and government officials. The end of my first week here, I was able to teach the mom’s at the Women’s Center’s monthly mom’s club about vaccinations. We had 10 young moms who came! This week we had a client come back who was still undecided about keeping her baby the last time the center had contact with her months ago. She is now just a couple months from delivering her baby which see decided to keep. Her situation is still a difficult one. Pray that we will have wisdom as we try to help her.
This week we also morned the loss of one of our volunteers, Lilya, after a long battle with cancer. She was 39 years old and left behind a teenage son and loving husband. While our hearts ache at our loss, we cannot help but rejoice in the reality that she is no longer in pain and is now with the Lord she loved so much. She was an excellent counselor, loved people well, and faithfully pointed them to Christ. We are grateful for the way God used her in the lives of a number of our clients as well as in the lives of all of us who served with her. Please pray for her husband, son, and extended family.
I have had the joy of getting back into the clinic ministry as well.  One of the patients that I talked to last Thursday at clinic attended church on Sunday and said she plans to continue. She is open to spiritual things. Pray for God to continue to work in her heart and to give her a clear understanding of the gospel. Pray for God to draw many of our patients to Himself!

Thank you for joining me in spreading these requests out before the Lord!
Trusting in His Goodness,
Holly Friesen
