What a warm welcome the students and parents got from our own school Principal Bilanko. I am sure all the kids enjoyed the first week at school and are excited about the new learning environment with plenty of space, flexibility and innovation.

Are you looking for before and/or after school classes for your student?
Ella Baker AM and PM Enrichment Class registration opens on September 12 at 10 pm.
Registration will be held on the Ella Baker PTSA website. To enroll, click on the “Enrichment” button on the sidebar on the left and follow the prompts.

We are taking orders for T-shirts, hoodies, and jackets with the Ella Baker logo. They are available in both children's and adult sizes, so you can outfit the whole family!

PTSA MATH CHALLENGE
Who loves a good math challenge? We do!!! Throughout the school year, there will be 15 math challenges published for your student to try their hand at. The first one will be posted on Sept 21st. HEALTH ROOM UPDATES
Did you buy new school clothes this year?? Need to get rid of your old ones?? Send them to the Ella Baker health room!
We are in need of clothing to stock our health room for students that might need a change of clothes during school. We currently need all items, shirts, pants, socks, underwear and shoes in all sizes. You can turn the clothes into the main office at any time.
UPDATE STUDENT DIRECTORY
Updated Student Directory will be released in October.
For this, we need you to update your family info with your teacher’s name on the PTSA website. This will make sure your information is correct when the PTSA directory is published on-line in October.
Go to EllaBaker PTSA Website, and at the very bottom of the left navigation icons, you’ll see a link that says “My Account.” Click that, and add any information that is missing. Complete class lists will make it so much easier to arrange play dates and birthday parties with classmates! Access to the directory is limited to PTSA members who are logged on to the website with a password.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Yearbook Chair needed
Do you have a passion for photography and creating photo books? If so, then being our Yearbook Chair may be the perfect role for you!
Our yearbook chair will work with each class yearbook assistant to make sure all class pages are uploaded by necessary deadlines, provide any needed training for Life touch software, be available to capture or coordinate photos of all school and PTSA events, extra curricular activities, special projects, performances, etc. so they are included in the yearbook. Will work with the PTSA to coordinate the final order and dissemination of yearbooks when they arrive at the end of the year.
All volunteers at the school are required to be approved by the school district. Approval is good for two years. If you are not a currently approved volunteer, please go to THIS WEBSITE and click on "RAPTOR ON-LINE VOLUNTEER APPLICATION". It takes a couple of weeks to process, so don't wait - get it done now!
