Last month, a delegation of garagErasmus attended the ESAA kick-off meeting in Brussels for the new cycle. The result? New events, new call for volunteers and call for projects twice a year are going to be launched. The Alliance is back on track!

ESAA Call for Volunteers
If you are committed to garagErasmus mission, and looking for an international opportunity to consolidate your skills, have a look at these vacancies in the Erasmus+ Student and Alumni Alliance:
1. ESAA Pool of Experts
2. ESAA Project Officers’ Task Force
3. ESAA Communication Task Force
4. ESAA Capacity Building Task Force
You can apply to up to two positions, but note that you can only be selected for a maximum of one position at a time. Only garagErasmus supporters and members of OCEANS, ESN, and EMA are eligible to apply.

garagErasmus @ EAIE 2018
garagErasmus will be present at Europe's largest international higher education conference in Geneva next week. The 30th Annual Conference of the European Association for International Education  will take place on 11–14 September 2018 in Geneva, Switzerland. We will be at the stand of the European Commission, promoting garagErasmus' mission to stakeholders and universities and inviting them to join the professional network of the #ErasmusGeneration! 

IT'S TRUE: Low talents mobility costs millions!

New study shows skills mismatches hamper EU economy
According to a study published by the European Economic and Social Committee, EU businesses are losing millions of euros due to skills mismatches in the European labour market. To be really competitive, fair and to grow constantly, the European economy cannot afford to waste human capital.

Our point of view? Unblocking cross-country mobility of talents, investing in the Erasmus Generation and in the European Education Area should be a priority in a barrier-free Europe.

garagErasmus International Talents Match goes European!

The garagErasmus Foundation is creating an innovative way to make it easier for companies seeking for #international talents to get in touch with the #ErasmusGeneration! Companies and international job seekers have the opportunity to meet for 10 minutes and get to know each other in an informal way and without the constraints of the classic interview. 
Scheduled dates:

  • 30 October in Bilbao, Spain
  • 8 November in Bordeaux, France
  • ... coming next: Early 2019 in Brussels, Belgium.
