My Summer was filled with, well...school.  I've not participated in any art shows so far this year.  But, that will change later this year....

It looks as though I'll have the time to participate in the Oregon Glass Guild's Open Studios Tour and Sale.  A glass friend asked me to be part of her studio tour, and since my studio is essentially covered in paint, I can easily move my pieces to another studio for a couple days.  Please check my website and the Oregon Glass Guild's site for further details on the dates and times.  I have a link on my site to the Glass Guild's site. It will be in November.

Below are some of the compositions I created this summer.  They are photographs.  I took photos of flowers and changed them into kaleidoscopic images.  It was fun, and challenging.  The image above of my hydrangea plant in my garden, is the first kaleidoscope image below:
The other images above are lilies from pictures I took at the Lily Festival.

The other class I took was a large format narrative class, meaning I was to tell a story with a large painting.  I'm making some small changes to it, since it was using materials I'd not used before (oil paints).  Once it's done, I'll upload some photos to my website, along with the narrative I created for it.

I've also added an Educational Offerings section to my website.  I'm considering offering some classes in some techniques I've been working on during my breaks from classes.  If you have any interest, please visit my website by clicking the button below.  Thanks for your interest!
