We partner with law firms to help you achieve optimal performance from your business services teams, improving your top and bottom lines.

Inspired and grateful. That sums up where we’re coming from this month.

We treasure our community of ambitious and intelligent men and women. You share with us your stories, goals, and dreams. And from our front row seat we watch you courageously reach for new heights and challenges. We are fueled by this inspiration and only wish we could bottle it to share with you. Instead, we’ll try to give it back in other ways.

For instance, Gordon Braun-Woodbury and I will be speaking at the LMA Southeast Region conference on the subject of "Running Your Department Like a Business." Join us!

Speaking of speaking, and attending conferences, this is a good time to brush up on How to Get the Most Out of Attending Conferences and Events as published by Forbes. My fellow LMA Board members will be familiar with my tip!

And where do you find inspiration and courage? Share with us on our LinkedIn page or drop us a note.

Gratefully,

Want to Innovate? Break the Law Firm Business Model
(via ABA Center for Innovation)

“Innovation destroys hours” says consultant and author Jordan Furlong in this challenging and insightful blog post.  Law firms don't innovate because most common types of innovation reduce their inventory and lower their lawyers’ revenue.  Therefore, if you want to successfully introduce innovations into your law firm you first need to recognize that these innovations pose an existential threat to the way the firm does business.
