A bunch of tales I wanted to share with you

A tale I read

A tale I heard

Singer-songwriter Guy Garvey on how he remains productive:

“Most of the things I do for a living I can do drunk... I drink too much. The one I’ve really got to watch is whisky. I adore it. I’m ashamed to say I could polish off a bottle without a problem. I could have this conversation after a bottle of scotch. I used to think booze helped me write. It doesn’t at all. I used to convince myself it was a necessary part, but that’s bollocks. The drinking was all part of the garret, the romance of the swinging lightbulb, the dedicating my life to unpaid art idea. Tortured in my 20s – all part of that.”

A tale I saw

A tale I wrote

Every single day was like his first day on Earth.
That’s how he treated them.
He’d marvel at all that he saw.
He'd laugh.
He'd cry.
He'd ask questions.
He'd talk to strangers.
He'd sing to loved ones.
He'd dance in the rain and write poems about his day.
He was quite difficult to work with, if I’m honest.
So overwhelming.
