Just to let you know that there was an attempted theft of garden machinery along Curling Tye Lane last night. At around 9.30pm a local resident spotted a short wheel base Landrover acting suspiciously outside a field gate. When he went to investigate and shone a torch at the vehicle they drove off. They had already cut the heavy chain on the gate to gain access and had clearly been looking around the field barn.
The neighbourhood watch coordinator and the police have been informed, but I thought you would like to know. Please be aware and keep an eye out for suspicious behaviour.
