With the new Pilots Care policy added this year, students could avoid having alcohol and drug-related incidents added to their student record if they follow the rules of the policy.

UP is always changing and growing, and this summer, the school welcomed a variety of new staff and said goodbye to some familiar faces.

In response to student feedback, Bon Appetit has made some significant changes to The Commons and Pilot House, including revamped menus and future town hall-style feedback events.


Earlier this year, UP partnered with the Opus Prize Foundation, which gave students and faculty the chance to travel around the world and meet with prize finalists from India to Peru.


A new student activity online platform moves UP out of the "dark ages" and into a more streamlined communication system, allowing easy access to campus events, department news and clubs.

Pilot in the Spotlight: Said Guermali, a redshirt junior cross country runner, hopes to keep performing at a high level this season with his teammates.

This summer, some Pilot athletes traded in their purple uniforms to join some local sports teams, like the Portland Pickles, the Tualatin Hills United Soccer Club Diamonds and the U-23 Timbers.
