Join us as we launch another year of SSLP opportunities. This year we have two guest speakers; Lord Agnew, the Academies and Partnership's Minister, and Sir David Carter, who is just stepping down as National Schools Commissioner; plus a reflection on last year and a look forward to the next.

SSLP Indoor Athletics Competition

Athletes in Years 8 & 9 are invited to compete at the world-class facilities of Lee Valley Athletics Centre 
Festival America, Dulwich Books
Dulwich Books are looking for an SSLP School to host two award-winning young female authors, Cherie Dimaline & Sabrina Mahfouz, as part of this festival celebrating American and Canadian Literature. The event will be on Wednesday 26th September for KS4-5 pupils.
This is a fantastic opportunity for your pupils to explore diversity in North American cultural history, as well as what it means to be a teenager in Britain today.

The first SSLP teacher event is expert-led CPD for MFL teachers following the Edexcel curriculum.
Donmar Pathways

Pathways: Work Experience
22nd - 26th October 2018
The Donmar is looking for 20 young people for a week's work experience. Students aged 16-18 must apply by Friday 28th September.
Southwark Teaching School Alliance
Southwark Teaching School Alliance
The STSA offers a wide range of training programmes to teachers in and around Southwark. The first to start is Autism: Researching Practice. The first of five sessions is to be held on Wednesday 26th September. Other courses are Peer Review, Lead Practioner Programme, Lesson Study, Improve Feedback Reduce workload, Mental Health Champions, NPQ for Senior Leadership, NPQ for Middle Leadership, Research to Practice and Leading a Mentally Healthy School.
Do you work with students learning English as an Additional Language (EAL)?
Compass school are looking for CPD for supporting and teaching EAL students. They would welcome working with a partner school who has strength in this area. If you are running CPD, know of high impact training, or are able to offer help directly please contact Paula Kennedy.
