Poor Andy's little TV show got a bad review.

Tonight:  Call In With Your Tales of Bad Reviews!

Andy has a new TV show dropping on Netflix the day after tomorrow. We're not supposed to announce the name of it on the air, but we can tell you here that it's called "The Good Cop" and it stars Tony Danza. Yes! That Tony Danza. But he's old now.

But wouldn't you know it? Variety Magazine went and gave The Good Cop a scathingly bad review. You can read it here. The review contains some very negative words. Like "unworthy" and "mediocre." And even worse: they threw in an "oblivious" and an "unimaginative"  too.

Needless to say, Andy is crushed. To make him feel better tonight, we invite you the listener to call us and tell us about the time YOU received a bad review. Maybe it was for your band, your book or film, or your school play. It doesn't matter, as long as you were not well received. Extra points if you have a copy of the lousy review and can read it to us.

And of course, we want somebody to give us a review of tonight's show, during the last five minutes. I emailed Sam the Appraiser about this but he was too busy appraising to reply to my email.

Don't forget, tonight we have new number:  (201) 209-9368.

Andy's Korner
"The relationship between a cop thrown off the force for his misdeeds and his by-the-book son would seem to provide some creative ferment. Instead, it just gives rise to basically good-natured grumbling, with Groban trying his best with an unappealing character and Danza playing himself once again. Absent real conflict or characters more than inconsistently drawn stereotypes, “The Good Cop” is a throwaway, an unworthy addition to a streaming service that has the cultural capital, if not always the desire, not to have to settle for mediocrity."
