Changes to Ontario's Wildlife Damage Compensation Program
CFFO belongs to OMAFRA's stakeholder working group to improve the Wildlife Damage Compensation Program. This month, OMAFRA announced two changes:
- The Farm Business Registration Number (FBRN) requirement has been broadened to include valid numbers from the previous year and FBRN exemptions.
- The standardized pricing methodology had been updated to provide separate pricing for steers and heifers.
Consultation with stakeholders will continue, and more changes are coming. To share your experiences and concerns with the CFFO, please CONTACT US.
