Vossius member Floris Solleveld obtains FWO grant

Vossius member Floris Solleveld has obtained a three-year postdoctoral fellowship from the Flemish Research Council (FWO) for his research project Gathering Language: Language atlases, comparative grammars, and ethnolinguistic classification in the long 19th century.

Conference of the Académie Internationale de Philosophie des Sciences

PhD defense: Maaike de Boois

Maaike de Boois tells the remarkable story of andragology, a social science that went through a tumultuous development in the period from 1950 to 1983. She hereby tracks androgology’s promising rise, with the milestone of formal recognition as an independent science in 1970, to its eventual elimination just thirteen years later.
