Learning & inspiration galore...
All the staff and committee here at TreeHouse would like to welcome everyone to the start of our autumn term. 2018 is going to be a very exciting year... the staff are just bursting with ideas and plans for more resources and equipment to give your children the very best opportunities to develop and learn.
Don't forget to cast your eye over the door and noticeboard at Treehouse when you drop off and collect - lots of important information goes there, and also parents and carers can join our Friends of Treehouse facebook page to ask questions, get updates of things going on and see pictures of the activities in store for your little ones.

Wear your Winter Woollies with pride!
It's that time of year again and the cold snap will soon be upon us! Treehouse children love playing outside whatever the weather, but getting chilly is no fun, so please ensure your child arrives at Treehouse with adequate clothing. Hats, coats, gloves, wellies and spare clothes should all be clearly named please - the staff have lots of little people to keep toasty.
Don't forget, you can order name labels through Easy2Name and select Treehouse as a 'code' at checkout - we will get a small donation from them at no cost to you. |

Big Spotacular
The BBC Children in Need Appeal is the week commencing Monday 12th November and for the whole week Treehouse will be joining the 'Big Spotacular' - wearing spotty clothes with lots of spotty activities for the children to enjoy. There will be a collection box at the door if you would like to make a donation.

Term dates
TreeHouse will break for the Autumn half term on Friday 19th October and return on Monday the 29th. Our last day of term will be Wednesday 19th December and we will re-open on Thursday 3rd January 2019.

Big feet appeal
With the wet season just around the corner we always need plenty of wellies in Treehouse! If you have any boots at home that you could donate to the setting, we have a massive demand for spares. Sizes 8, 9, and 10 in particular for both boys and girls would be most appreciated.

Polite reminder
The safeguarding and security of children is paramount here at TreeHouse and Winslow Church of England School. Please can we remind all parents and carers coming onto the school site after 9.00am and before 3.00pm to ensure that the main school gates are closed behind them.

Please remeber to name your child's belongings e.g. coats, shoes, packed lunchboxes, bags etc. TreeHouse has teamed up with easy2name.com who can provide you with all types of name tags and labels. If you would like an order form please see Zena in the office, or alternative you can order online.

Save the Day TreeHouse Christmas Nativity
The Nativity this year will be held on Sunday December 2nd at 2pm. Once again St Laurence Church have kindly agreed to let us perform there.
After half term the children will start to learn songs at Treehouse with the staff. The older children will have named roles which will be posted on the door. We will send out a reminder nearer the time.

Time for big school?
This term Buckinghamshire County Council will be sending out information explaining how to apply for a school place to parents whose children are eligible to start school in September 2019. School places are applied for online via the Buckinghamshire County Council schools portal service. You will be able to apply for your child's school place from 5th November and applications must be submitted no later than 3pm on 15th January 2019. Should you have any queries or questions with regards to the school admissions process, please do not hesitate to speak to Zena in the office who will be happy to help you.

Government Funding schemes
Did you know that the government also offer a 2 year old funding scheme and a new 30 hours scheme to help eligible families with childcare costs. Please visit the government website at wwwchildcarechoices.gov.uk/ for more information or speak to Zena in the office who will be happy to help if you think you may be eligible.

Say 'Cheese'
Photographer Lisa Jefferies will be visiting the TreeHouse on the 10th &11th October. Lisa has previously worked with us here at Treehouse before she took time off following the birth of her son and we look forward to welcoming her back, We will try to ensure that all children are photographed and siblings have their pictures taken separately and together. However if a child is adamant that they do not want their picture taken, they will not be force to have it done. A member of staff will be present for all photographs, however should you have any queries or questions please do not hesitate to speak to either Sarah or Zena.

Autumn fundraising event
As a registered charity TreeHouse is always looking for fun events that inspire the children and also raise much needed funds for the pre-school. This year our autumn fundraiser will be a sponsored Scavenger Hunt during the half term break. Please look out for more details and a sponsor form in the children's tray's over the next week or so.

Christmas Cards
The staff are currently in the process of creating some fantastic Christmas cards with the children for you to purchase. We hope to be able to send out the proof copies of your child's card for the beginning of November.
