Niagara Falls Fire Department to hold a Dedication Ceremony for the newly constructed Line of Duty Death Memorial
NIAGARA FALLS, ON - On Tuesday September 11, 2018, the Niagara Falls Fire Department will hold a ceremony to officially unveil and dedicate our new Line of Duty Death memorial site. The memorial has been erected to provide a permanent place to honour and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while in the performance of their duties.

- WHO: Fire Chief Jim Boutilier and Fire Department staff; Members of the Niagara Falls Professional Firefighters Association, Chippawa, Willoughby and Crowland Firefighters Associations; Niagara Falls City Council; Wayne Gates, MPP; Stewart Graham for Rob Nicholson, MP; Families of fallen members; members of the public
- WHY: The media are invited to attend this unveiling and dedication ceremony for the new Line of Duty Death memorial. The ceremony will begin with a tribute to the vicitims of 9/11 on this anniversary date. The dedication ceremony will follow and will include an honour guard, speakers and a tribute to the fallen firefighters with the laying of a rose by their family members.
