Hike Groups - There are 3 different hike levels for the weekend.
A Grade Hike - Will cover about 44km. Only choose this if you have are experienced and have done multiple Expeditions
B Grade Hike - Will cover about 21km. These will be your average hikers.  Only choose this if have done at least 1 Expedition before
C Grade Hike - Will do 2 short walks from base camp about 5km each. This is for beginners and the aim is to learn how to make a camp and use a map and compass.  We suggest our new Pathfinders choose this hike when registering.

As per mentioned at our information night Albury Pathfinder Club has packs and tents to loan our Pathfinders.  Please refer to the
Narrow Gate Expedition 2018 Packing list.pdf
for a list of items each Pathfinder will need to bring.  If you do not have everything on the list please get in touch so we can assist.

Each Pathfinder needs to take all their own items and pack everything in their own pack including food, clothing, bedding, cooking supplies and carry this for the duration of Expedition.

The conditions can still be very cold at this time of year and each Pathfinder needs the appropriate clothes, footwear  and sleeping bag for the conditions (again check the attached packing list link above for more details).

The aim is to finish all hikes at the Tantangara dam wall on Monday the 1st of October no later than 12pm and return home to Albury Monday late afternoon/early evening.

If you have any questions please give Damian a call on 0414 548 058 so we can help.

Once we know who is registered we will organise a meeting with those attending Expedition to ensure we are all prepared.

Thanks and regards,
Damian & Steve
