Welcome to the opening seminar of the Globe Art Point @ Espoo City Theater project on Tuesday, 25 September 2018 at 14-16 at the Espoo City Theater’s Revontulihalli to discuss on the cultural diversity of Espoo’s art and culture field.
Finland is becoming more and more richly diversified, and Espoo is one of the fastest developing cities in this respect as well. The seminar will highlight the impact of this change and reflect on the role of arts and culture in building the city’s attractiveness and urban prosperity and equality.

We are happy to share this Autumn program made in cooperation with the Espoo City Theatre. These performance series are the first part of our GAP LAB project, which is carried out from 2018-2020 with support from the Finnish Cultural Foundation. The aim of the project is to promote artistically valuable as well as culturally and linguistically diverse cooperation between artists of different backgrounds, Finnish arts institutions and different individuals. The following projects were collected through an open call and curated by Teemu Mäki.
Kolibrí, the Ibero-American Cultural Festival has the pleasure of presenting the work of Brazilian-Portuguese illustrator and children’s author Yara Kono this autumn. Yara Kono is one of the most promising illustrators of Portuguese language children’s literature, and the guest of honour of Kolibrí.
The multicultural and multilingual Kolibrí will be held in Helsinki and Espoo 1.- 13.10.2018. In Espoo, Kolibrí will take over the Iso Omena library and Galleria Kohtaamo. In Helsinki Kolibrí’s stages will be Malmitalo and the Malmi library. Kolibri Festival' program
