Thank You Corner
Kudos to the teachers and staff who helped make Back-to-School Night a great experience. Hundreds of people came to meet their Leopard’s teacher and learn about the coming year, and students had a wonderful time playing on the yard. Thank you to the team of parents who set up, cleaned up, loaned appliances, made yummy meals, sold spirit gear, and staffed volunteer tables, including Jennifer Frost, Laura Batie, Emily Beitiks, Cristina Valdez, Jenny Yelin, Elizabeth Amanda Lopez, Holly Gatto, Tiffany Salangsang, Susie Commins, Melanie Carroll, Jason Enna, Ms. Bing, Kierstin Clickner, Chris Nash, Lizzie Liu, and Deb Tjoa. Special thanks to Lisa Campbell, Hollie Retzinger, Lariece Williams, Nansee Kim-Parker, Cambria Gersten, Michelle Tran-Galvez, and Rita Chang who saved the day with food prep and event set up!

Gratitude also to Lakeshore Community Picnic organizers Alena Killpack and Laura Batie for finding and reserving a location, getting the word out, buying all the supplies, and coordinating volunteers. Special shout out to Eileen Guevara,  Erica Spartos, Harper Honan, Cambria Gersten, Chris McCarthy and Katie Young for being amazing helpers. Thanks to Ajax Guevara and Keith Killpack for being the grill masters for the day! Thank you to Coach Kate and Coach Cali for running fun games for the kids. It was a gorgeous day for Lakeshore community members to get together, relax, and enjoy time together. Thanks to all who came and brought food or drinks to share! It was a great day!

One-Ask Fundraising for Lakeshore
This week, we are kicking off the second Annual Giving Campaign which will make Lakeshore a stronger and better school for our children by directly supporting funds for our teachers, enrichment programs, and community events. Principal Hartford, the Lakeshore teachers, and your PTA need your help to raise $64,000 during this campaign to provide a well-rounded experience to all our students. This, along with the Raffle, Auction, and few smaller initiatives, will raise the necessary $121,000 to support the school.

This is a one-time ask
In past years, families were asked numerous times for financial support—PTA membership drive, Class Funds, Walk-a-Thon, Read-a-Thon, Red Envelope Campaign, and Holiday Giving Campaign. The Annual Giving Campaign has replaced these fundraisers as the primary source of income, so please take your past donations to these events into consideration as you make your pledge. Ask your generous friends and family to be part of this effort, especially those who have donated to Walk-a-Thon and Read-a-Thon in the past. Share our donation link, bit.ly/lsagcdon, on your blog, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or email and tell your supporters to list your child's name to get credit toward prizes!

Can you give $2.77 per day?
We are looking for 100% participation with donations of any amount—every dollar counts! However, if you’re able, we are
recommending $500 per student which is only $2.77 per school day—the cost of a cup of coffee
! This can be paid in one lump sum or in monthly installments. Every dollar donated is 100% tax deductible and directly benefits our school. There’s no limit to what you can give.

Start today! Look for information from your teacher in your weekly envelope or visit bit.ly/lakeshoreagc.

Lakeshore Spirit Gear
We have hoodies, baseball shirts, short-sleeve t-shirts, and other spirit gear items for sale to help you show your Lakeshore Leopard pride! Get ready for School Colors Spirit Friday on 10/5—order by Monday 10/1. See options and place an order at our website. Orders will be filled once or twice a week. Can you help deliver spirit gear? Email volunteer@LakeshoreElementary.org.
What's the Difference between 0.5% and 10%?
When you're talking about fundraising, 9.5% is a BIG DIFFERENCE. That's why we want you to use Lakeshore's Amazon link rather than the Amazon SMILE program when you shop online. Amazon Smile only donates 0.5% of your purchase to Lakeshore, whereas select purchases through our link generate a donation of up to 10%—all without changing your low Amazon prices. Even without receiving a bonus on every item sold, our Amazon link makes TEN times more than Amazon Smile would.

Just make this switch.
DON'T go to: Amazon.com
Instead, use: LakeshoreElementary.org/amazon
Tell friends and family! Lakeshore gets up to 10% of the purchase price—you get Amazon's low prices.
