“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” Matthew 7:13-14
The above verses are probably some of the most politically incorrect verses in our Bible. I have chosen them for this week's SUNDAY THOUGHT, because they highlight the fact that there is ONLY ONE WAY to God, and ONLY ONE WAY to heaven. There! I've said it! There may be some who would like to lock me up for saying that, but I want only to express THE TRUTH.
We live in a crazy age. We hear all manner of voices proclaiming the way we should be going, and the things we should be doing. We are dictated to by fashion as to what we should be wearing. We are told what we should be eating. We are told what we should be learning and what we should be teaching our children. Advertising almost brain washes us as to what we should spend our money on. We are all treated as if we do not have the capability to think and make decisions for ourselves.
BUT, there is one decision that we all must make alone. I am the only person who can make this decision for me, and you alone can make this decision for yourself. It's a decision that we all MUST MAKE, one way or another, at sometime whilst we are living.
WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO WHEN YOU DIE?
A taboo subject, you might think, but a subject that if ignored, may well be left TOO LATE.
Not believing in life after death, makes no difference to the outcome. I could go out into my back garden and swear that the grass is blue. I may sincerely believe that the grass is blue. I could stake my life upon the belief that the grass is blue. BUT ALL MY SINCERITY DOESN'T MAKE IT TRUE.There is such a thing as being sincerely WRONG.
RELIGION will never save you, or guarantee that you will go to heaven when you die. Many religious people will end up in hell. JESUS SAID SO.
“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” Matthew 7:22-23
The only way to heaven, and to God is not found in RELIGION, or in any BELIEFSYSTEM. The way to heaven is in a PERSON. Our Lord and Saviour JESUS CHRIST.

Remember, Jesus Himself said:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” John 14:6
Jesus Christ was either DELUSIONAL, A LIAR or He was GOD. Make your choice. There is ample proof that JESUS CHRIST did in fact RISE FROM THE DEAD. A delusional liar would still be in his grave. The disciples, all except one, were martyred for their faith. They emphatically believed that Jesus had been RESURRECTED from the dead. Would they have suffered and died for a lie?
Nobody who 'SITS ON THE FENCE' ever gets to heaven. Wavering on this issue is a negative response. Jesus died on the CROSS OF CALVARY, so that you could be forgiven and granted admittance into heaven, but as with any gift, it must be personally received.
If you do not know MY JESUS, I urge you today to seek Him, turn from your sin, and receive Him as Saviour and Lord.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” Romans 10:9-10
