iOS 12: Will Be Released Soon

On September 12, Apple will be holding its Special Keynote Event From the Steve Jobs Theater. 

Along with announcing it new hardware devices, like the iPhone XS and XS Max (speculated names), Apple will be announcing the release date for iOS 12.

Typically, major iOS public updates are released within 1 week of Apple's September events. This year will be no different.

I'll send out a special edition next week to cover all the latest hardware and iOS updates. So keep an eye out for that.

Until then, I'd like to share with you a few of the many new features you'll see in iOS 12. I'll be cover these new features (and others) in more detail in the upcoming editions.

Scheduled Do Not Disturb

One of my favorite features of iOS 12 is the ability to now schedule the Do Not Disturb feature. Now you have more ways to manage your notifications than ever, but there are times when you don’t want to be disrupted by any alerts, messages, or calls at all. You can set Do Not Disturb just for a meeting or while you’re at a location, and it will automatically turn off as soon as your event ends or you leave that place. Thank you!!!


 

Grouped Notifications

Apple has also added notification grouping in iOS 12, a handy feature that declutters the Lock Screen by grouping incoming notifications by app, topic, and more, with the ability to tap on a notification group to see individual notifications.

You can also clear notifications by group, which is a useful feature for managing long lists of notifications.


 

Screen Time Management

Screen Time is a new feature that helps give you a better understanding of the time you and your kids spend using apps, visiting websites, and on your devices overall. So you can make the most of how you choose to spend time on your iPad or iPhone. Screen


 

Automate the Things You Do with Shortcuts & Siri

Siri can now intelligently pair your daily routines with third-party apps to suggest convenient shortcuts right when you need them. So if you typically pick up a coffee on the way to work, Siri will learn your routine and suggest when to place your order from the Lock screen. You can also run shortcuts with your voice or create your own with the new Shortcuts app.

Shortcuts ultimately leads to a vast number of possibilities for tasks that can be streamlined and simplified. I can't wait to get creative with this feature!
