Hi Los Gatos ToastMasters!

  Welcome to our weekly email blast. The above photos were taken at Mt. Umunhum during our Get-Together this month. It was a chance to network and enjoy the outdoors. We thought the view was spectacular and a great sight-seeing idea for those with guests in town.

 This week we are invited to use the conference room at the Los Gatos Town Chamber. It should be a great way for us to advertise our meetings to the small businesses in Los Gatos. Also a great opportunity for members to network and grab a bite or drink before or after the meeting.

Sept 29, Saturday, Join your fellow LG ToastMasters for a Group volunteer activity to support Cystic Fibrosis Gala at stunning Netstldown estate in Los Gatos (see picture below)
Oct 27, Saturday, Fall Fusion 101 District-wide Event: Keynotes, Speaker Showcase, Educational Sessions
Oct 31, Wednesday, Halloween! Meet at Eddie & Nadia's place at 5 pm for spooktacular snacks and beverages.  (Bring your own to share, if you'd like.) Then, we will stroll down to a very festive and entertaining street in Los Gatos. Trick or treating or not, there will be lots to see. Costumes very optional. Bring your kids!

Club News

  Please join me in welcoming new members Jessica Dougherty and Adam Roberts to our group. We look forward in supporting their public speaking practice. Sadly for us Rex and Evelyn are moving out the area to pursue professional opportunities.

  Our club did an awesome job with renewals earning district credit because we had early renewals of 75% of our base membership. This district program was called Stellar September. Thank you members for getting your dues in early!

 This past week we had a nice meeting while trying out the Los Gatos Lodge. The space was vintage but felt large and open. Tom handled the ToastMaster role with aplomb. Kent gave a fine speech on self-care.

 This Tuesday Sept 25th we have been invited to meet at the Town Chamber conference room. (see calendar section for details). Please sign up for a role on our project management app Trello. Just click the button on this email.
