Greetings from O'Brien Guitars

As time permits, I take on repairs for clients. This past week I worked on an old 19th century German parlor guitar.
These guitars never played in tune due to poor saddle placement. This one was so far off that either they didn't care about these things playing in tune or somebody used the wrong scale length!  After some tedious work and a few swear words the guitar is now in playable condition. I was even able to save and re-use all of the intricate inlay work from the old fretboard. Here are a few pics of the guitar and a video I did talking about the history of the guitar and how I did the repair. I hope you enjoy it.
Speaking of videos - The newest online video course I am working on with finishing Guru, Jeff Jewitt, is about catalyzed urethane finishes. I hope to be able to make it available in the next week or two.
