Highways England's Arundel Bypass plan is in deep trouble - and rightly so

Permission has been granted by the High Court for Dr Emma Tristram's Judicial Review case to be heard.  We are waiting for a date to be set for the hearing.

The permitting QC decided it could be argued that "something went clearly and radically wrong",  with the consultation which Highways England did before announcing Option 5A as their Preferred Route. Emma's case is based on the way they misinformed consultees.

The South Downs National Park Authority has also been granted a Judicial Review.  Their case is based on Highways England's failures to comply with Planning law protecting National Parks.

Please click on www.crowdjustice.com/case/save-arundels-countryside-from-bypass-ruin to read more.  You could help to reverse the plan to build a bypass through the Arun watermeadows and the South Downs National Park.

Emma's campaign has already raised over £13,000 and has already been pledged £5,000-£10,000 by Walberton Parish Council and £5,000 by an environmental foundation.   This means she still needs another £7,000-£12,000 to be donated.  Please help if you can, be it £5, £50 or £500.
