TAKE ACTION: YOU CAN'T HAVE A WHITEWATER PARK WITHOUT WATER!

Hi Poudre River Lovers!

A wonderful new whitewater park is currently being built right in downtown Fort Collins on the Cache la Poudre River, but it is extremely threatened!

The Northern Integrated Supply Project (NISP) is a massive proposed new dam and diversion upstream of Fort Collins on the Cache la Poudre River. If NISP is built, it would take about 40% of what's left of the peak flows out of the Poudre River in Fort Collins exactly at the time of year -- May and June -- when the new whitewater park would need the water to be viable.

You can't have a whitewater park without water!

We need to you to TAKE ACTION to tell the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for NISP has serious problems and must be fixed. Among other things, the FEIS says the impacts to the whitewater park would be "minimal" -- THAT'S FALSE AND NOT SCIENTIFICALLY ACCURATE.

to send the Army Corps of Engineers an email

We have until October 4th, which is the deadline to get comments to the Army Corps. By taking action today, you will have "legal standing" in the outcome of the permitting process and help force the Army Corps to fix the problems with the FEIS and protect the Poudre River.

Thank you for taking action to save the Poudre River Whitewater Park!
