6th Most Concerning Issue for Parents
The #6 biggest concern for parents today is building a foundation on Godly principles.

The great Sermon on the Mount is the foundation that parents can use as the guide when building godly principles for their children. This passage begins in Matthew 5 and ends at the end of chapter 7 where Jesus sums up all that he spoke by stating:

Build Your House on the Rock

Matthew 7:24  So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock.
Matthew 7:25  And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
Matthew 7:26  And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a stupid (foolish) man who built his house upon the sand.
Matthew 7:27  And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell--and great and complete was the fall of it.

While there are so very many exhortations in this sermon we can see that there are several that are noteworthy to begin building the foundation with. Let's look at some of them.

1. Most notably are what ministers call the "Beatitudes in Matthew 5. The word blessed means, "a prolonged form of the poetical μάκαρ makar (meaning the same); supremely blest; by extension fortunate, well off: - blessed, happy (X -ier).

2. In verse 5:21 and forward Jesus addresses: anger, lust, divorce, oaths, retaliation, loving our enemies.

3. In chapter 6 he begins by addressing giving to the needy, how to pray, fasting, and true riches, and anxiety.

4. In chapter 7 he addresses judging others, God's character as a father, how we can be known by God.

5. And then he sums up the three chapters with the exhortation that if we do what he has taught us in the sermon we will indeed build our house on a solid foundation, a ROCK. Jesus us known as the ROCK.

If those who use the scriptures as their guide for life will soak in the Sermon on the Mount, we would need no other. It is the best guide to live by in the entirety of the scriptures.

  Have a wonderful day!

EDUCATORS OF THE MONTH
This month I decided to honor GRANDMOTHERS! These wonderful ladies take special care to be involved with their grandchildren's education. I've had more grandmothers contact me with questions about the Anna's Friends series than parents.

These are the ones who are signing up for the bi-monthly on-line lessons. These are the ones that share with me about their grandchildren's character traits and how to determine which of their gifts are predominate.
These are the ones that tell me how much they enjoy learning about the motivational gifts.

So THANK YOU Granma!! You ROCK!!!

CONGRATULATIONS GRANDMAS!!!

SEPTEMBER BLOG POST
Blog Post:  The scriptures teach us about the Ministry gifts found in Ephesians 4; the Manifestation (spiritual) gifts discussed in I Corinthians 12:4-6 and 27-31; and the Motivational Gifts in Romans 12. We exercise our motivation through our ministry (work or profession), and the Holy Spirit determines what manifestation will benefit the receiver the most.

Ministry Gift:

We know that the ministry gifts are the vocation for spiritual service. They are apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor/teacher (See Ephesians 4). These roles are what we see in traditional churches and are offices that are filled for the sole purpose of building up the body of Christ and bringing it to wholeness (perfection better known as maturity).

Spiritual Gifts:

1 Corinthians 12:4-7  Now there are [distinctive] varieties of spiritual gifts [special abilities given by the grace and extraordinary power of the Holy Spirit operating in believers], but it is the same Spirit [who grants them and empowers believers]. 5)And there are [distinctive] varieties of ministries and service, but it is the same Lord [who is served]. 6) And there are [distinctive] ways of working [to accomplish things], but it is the same God who produces all things in all believers [inspiring, energizing, and empowering them]. 7) But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit [the spiritual illumination and the enabling of the Holy Spirit] for the common good.
