Proposal and Submission Site

Effective September 24, 2018, Research.gov’s Proposal Preparation and Submission Site has been enhanced to allow additional flexible options for PDF uploads. See Document upload Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). Additional resources such as instructional videos and a system capabilities release timeline are currently available on the Research.gov About Proposal Preparation and Submission page.

NIH dbGaP - Database Access Reminder Process
Signing Official (SO):
John Evermann* is the Signing Official (SO) in the NIH system. The SO represents the applicant's employing institution in an official capacity and will be asked to certify that an applicant:
  • has an appropriate security plan in place;
  • has IRB approval (if necessary);
  • has completed the required computer security training as appropriate;
  • has read, understands, and can comply with the terms of the Certification Agreement;
  • and if the data is part of a restricted data set, advised where the data will be house at JHU to ensure we have the proper security in place.
*Only the PI, or someone in the department with access to the initial request, may change the Signing Official of record to John Evermann. See directions on how to Change the Signing Official in the NIH System.

NSF has developed a short reviewer orientation video that provides helpful tips for writing high quality reviews. The video can be accessed in FastLane through the Panelist Travel and Reimbursement page and the Proposal Review, Ad Hoc Reviewers page. You can also view the video directly at https://tipsforreviewers.nsf.gov.

There is a link at the end of the video to additional resources, a list of helpful hints, and a short feedback survey.
