Hey y'all and welcome to Behind the Seams here at Sewspire!
I am so excited to share my latest bag design with you; but, before I let you dive in to this fabulous project I need to tell you about an issue I am having and ask for your help.
The camera I use to record our tutorials is becoming very problematic as it overheats in a short amount of time and then turns off spontaneously. In addition, the microphone which I use is also aging and as such I am noticing intermittent periods of static in the audio stream.
When I founded the Sewspire YouTube Channel and website in 2015 I spent several thousand dollars of my personal money to purchase a MacBook Pro, GoPro Hero camera and a microphone. That initial investment has served our community very well as I have been able to produce more than 180 videos for you to enjoy over the last three years.
I know that our existing equipment is nearing the end of its useful lifespan and I would like to ask for your help to replace it so that I can continue to produce high quality sewing tutorials.
I am hoping you and others who have found value in the channel are willing to make a small $5 donation today so that I can purchase a new GoPro and quality microphone.
For the sake of convenience I am collecting the funds via Paypal; but, rest assured, you have my word all of the funds raised will be used to upgrade the recording and editing equipment for Sewspire and I will be sure to keep everyone apprised of our progress via the weekly newsletter and through social media.
In the meantime, I will continue to record with what I have for as long as it will last or until we have collected enough money to purchase the new equipment.
