Build Your Own Design Community

There is something special about getting together with like-minded designers and sharing ideas. Sometimes you share what you're working on and they are wow-ed by your ideas. Sometimes they provide feedback that makes you look at your work from a different angle.

If there's a local design meet up in your area, check it out. Or if you're feeling ambitious, start your own group, where you get to decide the tone and the topics. The point is to start thinking about connecting with other designers. Simply putting yourself out there will signal to the universe that you're open to new opportunities. Plus it's fun to get away from the computer.
