Why Did You Choose MCB as your Undergrad Major?
Greetings UA MCB Alumni and Donors!

Thanks to all of you who provided advice to our incoming freshmen! We hosted a breakfast for our ~70 incoming freshmen at the end of August and gave out bookmarks with a few of the pieces of advice printed on the bookmarks. The students loved it! (The faculty really enjoyed seeing the alumni responses as well!). We also featured several of you on our lobby monitors and in social media with your advice. Thank you!

Our next big event is for High School students. 2018 Meet MCB! is a high school recruitment event which will take place October 31, 2018. Approximately 200 high school students - many of which are first-generation college students -  will visit the UA campus to take tours of MCB labs, attend seminars to learn about applying to UA, financial aid, the MCB major, and to meet current college students.

I'd like to do something similar for this event, which is sharing input from MCB alumni. For the Meet MCB event, I plan on creating a flyer with input from alumni on why they chose MCB as a major. All of these students are taking MCB courses in high school and get UA college credit, however, many are still exploring what to major in once they get to college. We'd love your input on why you chose MCB and what your career is now. It's great for HS students to hear what various fields MCB alumni work in.

If you'd like to participate:
Send me an email sharing why you chose MCB, and a little about your career journey after undergrad and how the MCB major set you up for success.

You can email me at :  michelevaughan@email.arizona.edu.

We love to hear from our alumni!

Best Regards,
Michele Vaughan
