I returned from the stunning fjords of Norway after a great woodturning cruise run by Odd Erik and his team at Verktøy. No rest however, I launched myself into finishing my new DVD on making 'The Beaded Bowl'.
In between all the travel, myself, Cornelia and our lovely new collie Loki, welcomed lots of new and old friends to the workshop for classes. Loki even gets a small role in my new DVD

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Ray Key. I met Ray for the first time in the early nineties at an AWGB symposium. He was my woodturning hero. I was greatly inspired by his book "Woodturning and Design" which I borrowed from the school library in 1990. He had such a passion and an in-depth knowledge of our craft. He will be very much missed in our world of woodturning.

We have lots of classes on our website for the Autumn, including a NEW two-day class for people who are beginners that have already attended our classes but want an intensive class with a view to investing in a lathe and developing their skills further.
For experienced turners with a lathe or regular access to a workshop, we have plenty of three-day and five-day classes on our 2019 schedule.
