Making Headlines: A Message from the College Office

Over the last few weeks, we emailed junior parents with information about standardized testing and test preparation for this year. For students who completed the diagnostic SAT and ACT testing that we mailed home over the summer, we wrote with recommendations about which test to pursue based on their results and the appropriate test prep course to consider taking. For students who did not complete the diagnostic testing, we wrote with the recommendation that they consider pursuing the SAT, in addition to taking on-campus practice tests (offered once a month on Sundays) to determine which test is the best fit.

Please visit the College Office Mailings Page to access the Class of 2020 College Counseling Calendar, to read more about standardized testing, our test prep courses for the SAT and the ACT offered on campus by Advantage Testing, and to access the Permission Form. If you would like your student to enroll in either the SAT or ACT course, please discuss this matter with him or her, and then either email the permission form to twhite@mxschool.edu or fax it to (978) 402-1401. We do need written confirmation from you before your child begins the course. The deadline for registration is Saturday, September 29th for the SAT Prep Course and Friday, November 16th for the ACT Prep Course. If you have any questions about the course or individual tutoring, please contact Sam Bigelow at sbigelow@mxschool.edu or 978-371-6536.
