NPC’s team in Peru is as busy as ever fighting the illegal trade in wild animals. Infant capuchin monkey Peanut is currently in our care. Peanut was confiscated from traffickers in a town not far from Pacaya-Samiria national reserve. He’s only about two months old and desperately needs to be with his mother – who was probably killed when Peanut was captured. We will care for Peanut while he gains the strength to be be transferred to a suitable rescue centre.

El equipo de NPC en Perú está tan ocupado como siempre luchando contra el comercio ilegal de animales salvajes. Peanut el mono capuchino está actualmente a nuestro cuidado. Peanut fue confiscado a los traficantes en un pueblo cerca de la reserva nacional Pacaya-Samiria.
