Washington Teachers' Union Endorses Zachary Parker for Ward 5 Representative on the DC State Board of Education
Washington, DC -- Today, the Washington Teachers' Union announced their endorsement of Zachary Parker, a former 7th grade math teacher and candidate for the Ward 5 seat on the DC State Board of Education in the upcoming General Election on November 6, 2018.
Representing over 4,800 public school teachers from Ward 5 and across the District, the Washington Teachers' Union add their voice to this important fight to improve the quality of education for all Ward 5 students.
"I am honored to be supported and selected by other teachers who understand the very important work that must be done to meet all of our students at their places of need," said Parker when learning of this endorsement. Ward 5 resident and Washington Teachers' Union president, Liz Davis enthusiastically supports Parker: "Zachary is a breath of fresh air and needed voice on our State Board of Education."
