A highlight of this week was Wednesday night at the Civic Theatre where our Choir, conducted by Mrs Polaschek, participated in the Invercargill "Big Sing". They sung amongst the big children's choir and also performed the item 'Footloose'. CLICK HERE or on the image above to watch the video.

Sam and Harvey were also successful in auditioning for the two lead parts and did a fantastic job of it. CLICK HERE to watch that video.
Have you purchased your tickets for Thursday night's Arts Extravaganza? It is going to be a great family and community night, with so much talent and creativity set to be showcased! 

When: Thursday 27 September beginning at 5.30pm with a picnic dinner, Kapa Haka performance and the Mural unveiling. Come early to get a good spot!

What to bring: BYO picnic and blanket
Price: $5 per adult (children are free)

A coffee cart will be available and the Friends of the School will also be selling American Hot Dogs.

Enrolment at Myross Bush is governed by an enrolment scheme, details of which are available from the school website. Applications are now being invited for Out of Zone Enrolments for a small number of Year 2-3 children for Term 1 2019.
We have no vacancies for any other level. The deadline for receipt of out of zone applications is October 26 2018 at 1pm.

If you live in the home zone and have not yet registered your intention to enrol your child for next year, please contact the school immediately to assist us with planning.
Friends of School Halloween disco is on Friday 26th October 5.30-7.30pm at the Myross Bush Hall. 
We require helpers to set up the hall, help sell food and glow sticks on the night, a couple of volunteers to stand outside and helpers to clean up at the end of the night.  A roster will be set up for either the first or second half of the night.

Congratulations to our Myross Bush School Blue team (pictured above) who were awarded first place in the Year 5/6 Hockey competition. The team completed their season unbeaten. 

The Yellow team also deserve a special mention after winning all but one game this season. 

Players in both teams performed highly throughout the season and this was recognised as everyone who trialled for the Year 5/6 Invercargill representative squad made it in!

Special mention is to be made of their Coaches, Janine O'Connor and Mel and Chris Young who are reaping the fruits of their years of work coaching our hockey students. Thank you guys!

SATURDAY TENNIS INTER-CLUB COMPETITION
This competition is a six week competition from Saturday 3 November–Saturday 8 December at Waihopai Tennis Courts. Games 9.30am – 12.00pm.
This competition is for beginners to experience players from 16 years and under. Teams consist of four/five players (boys and girls mixed – placed in playing order according to ability and experience). Each player will play a single and double match and results will be entered for Configure Rankings. A Manager is required for each team.
