MISSIONS NEWS: MEMORIES FROM HAITI
by Barb Field, BJ & Company
After returning from a mission trip to Haiti, people kept asking me how it went.... how do you answer that!? It was GREAT and AWFUL. God is great, and He had his hand on us, but the absolute poverty of the people is indescribable.
My friend Ada and I headed there with the intent of following the Lord’s leading. We made ourselves available to national pastors and missionaries we knew to help to help them in their ministries any way we could.

Some of our most memorable events include:

  • Seeing a small group of children grow to over 150 beautiful faces enjoying learning about Jesus through interactive songs and stories
  • Visiting a COMPLETELY overcrowded jail and reach our hands through the bars to pray for prisoners who are hungry for the Lord
  • Sharing the Gospel in a new way at a church on Palm Sunday with illusions, mime, and storytelling
  • BEING THERE to encourage those missionaries and native pastors who live there 24/7

What wonderful memories! Thank you, Lord, for all You have done!
