From our Pastors...
It's beginning to look a lot like Autumn! And we are anticipating a harvest. As Jesus sent out his followers he said, "‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." We pray that you would see friends, neighbours & colleagues come to faith this Autumn.

Next Week (7th Oct) we start our 1:3 Rhythm for Sunday Morning. Once a month you will find church out in the community. This is not a Sunday off, but a Sunday out!  We encourage you as church to  go out into your neighbourhoods; engaging with your local community together; building authentic relationships, sowing seeds of the kingdom by sacrificially serving and expressing God’s love in practical ways.

For the other three Sundays a month we will gather at Sidney Stringer Academy for our corporate celebratory gathering. During October we will be focusing on being a "Community on a Journey".

In other news...
This week Nick (in his role as VCUKI Missions Coordinator) will be attending the Vineyard USA Missional Leaders Meeting, a gathering of leaders from around the world to empower, equip, and encourage missional kingdom work. You can watch the live stream here or to find out more details visit here.

Please pray for Nick (and Tom from Birmingham Vineyard/Dalitso Trust) as they travel together and engage with others, that they would hear from God and implement all they learn here in the UK.

Once a month we gather as a church to simply seek the Father's presence.

Join us at 1 Mill Street [7-10pm] to pray, worship and together Seek Him on Friday 12th October. For future dates click [here].

During our time together we also want to learn and develop spiritual exercises for the journey. To work with the Holy Spirit in developing habits and practices that keep us connected with Him as we live out this life of following Jesus.

Life Groups are an essential part of church life. This is where we do life together and bring life to our neighbourhoods.

They help you to take steps in your spiritual journey, whether you are just starting to explore faith or wanting to go deeper. In Life Group you will find others to support you in your journey.   Sign up from 2nd September [here].
We are committed to encouraging people to be disciples who make disciples, equipping them to live lives as followers of Jesus and helping them express the love of God to those around them.

Our Journey Groups are one-to-one groups designed for those who have made the decision to go deeper in their spiritual growth, forming habits that help them to become more like Jesus and sharing Him with others. Click here for details and to sign up

The Kingdom of God is demonstrated as we heal the sick, preach the gospel and set the captives free. Jesus proactively pushed back oppression and spiritual darkness wherever he saw it damaging people. Understanding and exercising our God-given authority helps to do the same in our day to day lives.

Our prayer is that each of us will grow in having a powerful and effective Kingdom impact on the world around us. As we gather we’ll worship and have plenty of time to pray for one another, expectant that God is going to meet us. We want to dive into all the ways that we can be on mission with God, in the communities where he’s placed us.

Venue: Gas Street Church, 41 Gas Street, Birmingham, B1 2JT / Cost: £15/£20
Guest Speakers: Brenda Gatlin (Duluth Vineyard, Minnesota) and Debby Wright (Trent Vineyard & our National Director).
