Expected to be the leaders of tomorrow, graduates completed intensive leadership training over four days with access to thought leaders and distinguished speakers.

Washington, D.C. –   Student Veterans of America (SVA) completed the 2018 Leadership Institute on September 23, 2018, with 102 of the nation's best SVA Chapter Leaders graduating with the expectation that they will be the next "greatest generation" of leaders in their chapter, on their campus, for their community and their country. Identified as the highest-performing Chapter Leaders from more than 1,500 SVA chapters, graduates traveled to Washington, D.C. for four days of intensive leadership development training, sponsored by Prudential Financial Inc.

"Community and purpose are what SVA means to me, and it’s what I impart to each of you today," said SVA's President and CEO Jared S. Lyon during Sunday's graduation ceremony. "Your chapter provides a sense of community, but it’s SVA’s Leadership Institute that provides you a purpose...as the most successful Chapter Leaders from the best colleges, who are the best performing students in higher education, you represent the pinnacle, the tip of the spear for advancing SVA in your chapter, campus, community, and country."
